From 4-9 April, 2005, Mr. Gert JONSSON, Deputy Auditor General of the National Audit Office of Sweden has led a team of four senior experts on a visit to Vietnam.

<font color=#000000>&nbsp;</font><font face=Arial color=#000080 size=2><font color=#000000>As the first of its kind, the State Audit Law was promulgated on 24 June, 2005 by the State President Tran Duc Luong under the Order No. 02/2005/L/CTN of the same date.</font> </font>

On 13 December 2007, a delegation from the Office of the Auditor General of Thailand headed by Ms Chanya Kongubol, Director of Financial Audit Office had a working visit to SAV. Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, Auditor General and some leaders of SAV’s specialised and advisory departments have met and worked with the team. The tour was within the framework of auditor training programmers by OAG to study foreign audit experience implemented on the yearly basis.

<font color=#000000>&nbsp;<font face=Arial size=2>During 24 February to 3 March 2008, a 3 strong team consisting of representatives from OAG-Canada and CCAF had visited Hanoi and worked with SAV regarding training opportunities for Vietnamese State auditors in Canada. The team headed by Mr. Fred Dunn, Auditor General of Alberta Province, Canada was within the framework of CCAF’s Assessment and Recruitment mission to interview candidates for participating in the 2008-2009 Fellowship. </font></font>
